Southern Air are specialists when it comes to ducted, reverse cycle air conditioning systems. This type of system can be either a split type ducted system as described above or a self contained unit which then connects to ductwork throughout the home. As the
name implies, the ductwork distributes the air conditioned air throughout the rooms connected to the system.
Ducted air conditioning systems are a great option for customers looking to supply air conditioning to multiple rooms in their homes. With selected ducted air con systems, each room can be zoned so that customers can heat or cool different rooms to different temperatures and if customers only want one or two rooms air conditioned at a given time, they can do that too!
Evaporative Air Conditioning Systems
Evaporative air conditioning uses the process of evaporation to cool the air that gets distributed throughout ductwork into a customer’s home.
In an evaporative system, a cooler pump circulates water from the reservoir onto a cooling pad, which becomes wet. Then a fan draws air
from outside into the air conditioning unit through the moistened pad. As it passes through the pad the air is cooled by evaporation.
