How We Give Back
At Advantage Air we believe in doing our bit to make everyone in the community’s life a little bit more comfortable. Here are some of the groups we support in Australia and South Africa:
Advantage Air House for Orphans - A home for abused and abandoned babies in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Mothers who can no longer care for their babies can drop them here knowing they will be well looked after. The centre can care for up to 10 children at a time and accepts babies up to 12 months old. On average, children stay 2 months before they are adopted or placed with foster parents.
Kitgum refuge for children and young adults in Uganda – Donated $60000 to help build a new school for destitute children. Kitgum was founded in 1988 by Sydney woman, Irene Gleeson. Today, Kitgum provides free education, food, clothing, water and wash facilities for over 10 000 primary school students and free vocational training for 1000 young adults. To learn more about this very worthwhile cause, visit Kitgum's website at http://www.cks.org.au/
Bicton Primary School, Western Australia - After the school suffered extensive damage in a tornado, Advantage Air donated components for a new ducted air-conditioning system.
Bethel Community Services - Donated $20,000 of air-conditioning systems towards raffles. BCS are a not for profit organisation that provides young teens with no father figure, peer support from older teenagers. BCS go on trips and character building weekends designed to bolster the kids’ self-esteem.
Project 88, Sanctuary Cove, Queensland – Donated a top of the range air-conditioning system for the Project 88 Charity Home. The house was auctioned off, with the proceeds going to the George Gregan Foundation that builds playgrounds in children's hospitals around Australia.
